Storage of the Dresdner Stollen

The right storage is the most important point for the quality and shelf life of each Dresdner Stollen. The fruit loaf or Christmas cake can keep and develop his excellent taste and the necessary moisture only in cool areas with high humidity.

The following conditions should be observed for optimal storage time:

  • Storage at high humidity, around 50 - 80% relative humidity
  • Storage at temperature between 10 - 18 ° C
  • No direct sunlight
  • Storage in the Stollen carton or Stollen tin

 

Perishability of the Dresdner Stollen

The following is a summary of the shelf life of the different kinds of Dresdner Stollen:

  • Dresdner Christstollen, at least 16 weeks
  • Precious Almond Stollen, at least 6 weeks
  • Precious Poppy Seed Stollen, at least 2 weeks
  • Precious Almond Paste Stollen, at least 6 weeks
